Description
A project organization is a structure that facilitates the coordination and implementation of project activities. Its main reason is to create an environment that fosters interactions among the team members with a minimum amount of disruptions, overlaps and conflict. The structure defines the relationships among members both within and outside of workstreams.
Workstreams are discrete elements of the work scope used to optimize the way work is organized. They can be led by one person and will usually collectively cover the most important elements of the project work scope. They can be very similar to work packages or may organize work packages into groups or the work of single disciplines within a project.
