Description

The change approval process will depend on the scale of the change, the project and its agreed procedures. Small changes may be approved by the customer while larger changes may require approval by a “Change Control Board” which will often be the project steering committee. Whatever the case, often project stakeholders have a hard time understanding the importance of assuring that the scope implemented throughout the project, is the scope that was approved at the start of the project. If modifications or additions to the scope are to take place, these must be properly evaluated and formally approved. To ensure this control, you need a clear scope change -control process. This process needs to be made visual and should be communicated. This diagram as-is since it describes a typical change control process or it can be adjusted to your specific project change control process.
